Market Music

A great big THANK YOU to Catherine O'Kelly for her gift of acoustic guitar music at last Thursday's market. Our customers said it added to our market's ambiance and we couldn't agree more.

This Week at the Market

Here are some highlights of the wonderful fresh fruit, vegetables and baked goods that will be at the market this week:

PARLEE FARM will have juicy Blueberries, sugar plums, and peaches, and
Organic Zucchini, Summer Squash, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Basil and Green Peppers.

GOODIES sells cookies - the chocolate peanut butter munchie was actually featured on the Rachael Ray Show! Folks especially like the cranberry oatmeal, made with dried cranberries, golden raisins, walnuts and a hint of orange zest! Kids, young and old, love our chocolate chip cookies . . . which make wonderful ice cream sandwiches!

JONES FARM'S beautiful stall will have lettuces, carrots, onions, beets, radishes, zephyr, zucchini, yellow zucchini, cousa squash, cut flowers, breads, corn, tomatoes, native peaches and nectarines this week. Green beans and perhaps yellow beans, mozarella, potatoes, basil.

HILL ORCHARD will have Blueberries, Raspberries, Red Currants, Peaches, Plums and Apricots.

THE BISCUIT will have scones (savory and sweet), brioche (our specialty), muffins (some of which are vegan), rustic breads, dinner rolls, and fresh fruit pies (peach raspberry, blueberry). Visit their website: www.visitthebiscuit.com for more info about their products.

Remember, the market is your market. Support our local farms because NO FARMS, NO FOOD!

Onward and upward,

Susan and Peggy
